It was excellent as a refresher after 10 years and will improve dealings with PSP pupils especially. I found it one of the best courses I have attended for many years.

It will allow the Centre to develop a consistent way of working with our students to bring about change. Excellent delivery that kept us all engaged. Many thanks

This will have a massive affect on my work – I learnt so much! It will also have a huge affect in my personal life. This was the best training I have ever been on and I have been on a lot of courses.
Operations Manager for Plymouth & District Mind in Plymouth
It will make a difference in how I approach my work and my interaction with other professionals. I will always try to focus on the “how” not the “why” and focus on positive actions and coping mechanisms. By far the best training I’ve been on – I was still talking about it two days later.
Community Development Worker in Plymouth
I will certainly be using the approach with members of my team as part of their 1-2-1 meetings. i will also be looking at using this as an approach all of our support staff. Thoroughly enjoyable, stimulating and thought-provoking. Thank you.
Team Manager for DCH in St. Austell, Cornwall
I work on a one-to-one within schools with children and young people who are vulnerable and or have difficulties. The training is of great use to me to encourage moving on rather than focusing on the past. I would like to say the contentswas excellent and the delivery was also unique and enlightening. Wonderful approach.
Team Member for Frome Family Centre in Somerset
Our team had a day’s course in Brief Solution Therapy, with Eileen, and it was a truly great day. Providing us all with very useful ways of getting anyone to see a way out of a difficulty. Eileen has such a dynamic way of working and it was also fun. Any team would benefit from this way of working.
Team Member for Hollybush Family Centre in Hereford
Made me more positive, wanting to rehearse and practice the approach. I found examples of what to say and do useful. It will help me to get people to respond more positively.
Social Worker for Norfolk Youth Offending Team
The team came back in to a meeting 2 days later raving about it. Most had used it in their practice the next day. In the network meeting they said they felt it ought to be compulsory for all mentors. I will be in touch to book further training for next year. Thanks once again

I have used Eileen Murphy Consultants as a change agent for social workers and their
managers to divert young people from the care system. Eileen Murphy developed the
approach when I was Director of Housing and Social Services in Sutton and I
re-engaged her to work on similar issues on the Isle of Wight. In both cases
her approach made a significant difference to the numbers of young people
going into public care.
On the Isle of Wight we have reduced the numbers in public care by 12% in 2 years against a national trend of rising numbers. Much of this reversal I put down to the effectiveness of Eileen’s training and teaching. The Isle of Wight has established itself as a 2 star authority after a failed Joint review in 1999. The SSI have determined we are serving
most children well and have promising prospects for improvement. I would
have no hesitation in recommending Eileen Murphy Consultants for work in this
area.
