Solution Focused Therapy Training
This training was extremely useful for me to take forward when working with families. Eileen was one of the best trainers I have seen to date. Her approach to this course was so effective – I was totally in awe. Thank you.
Family Outreach Worker for Targeted Team (Ages 5-19) in Poole, Dorset
I used immediately with families the following day. I was familiar with some concepts but this training allowed me to implement with enhanced structure and clearer focus. Excellent trainer – supporting and empowering approach.
Young Person's Lead for Borough of Pool Targeted Services in Dorset
The training will allow a new approach to my work. It has made me think about the language I use and to look for “exceptions”. Fantastic training with an inspirational, down-to-earth Trainer, thank you.
Family Outreach Worker for CYPL in Poole, Dorset
Will hopefully revolutionise and “move on” cases/situations, especially those that are “stuck”. Absolutely loved the tasks and the concept of “exceptions” and “visualtion”. This should be a mandatory course – it is inspirational as is Eileen Murphy. A fantastic change of approach to casework.
Education Welfare Officer in Poole, Dorset
I feel the framework and interventions are directly applicable to my field of work. I have already began implementing SFBT as part of my practice. The training was excellent, Eileen was engaging and knowledgeable and her approach facilitated ease of learning.
Senior Practitioner for Children & Young Person's Learning in Poole, Dorset
This will have a massive affect on my work – I learnt so much! It will also have a huge affect in my personal life. This was the best training I have ever been on and I have been on a lot of courses.
Operations Manager for Plymouth & District Mind in Plymouth
It will make a difference in how I approach my work and my interaction with other professionals. I will always try to focus on the “how” not the “why” and focus on positive actions and coping mechanisms. By far the best training I’ve been on – I was still talking about it two days later.
Community Development Worker in Plymouth
I will certainly be using the approach with members of my team as part of their 1-2-1 meetings. i will also be looking at using this as an approach all of our support staff. Thoroughly enjoyable, stimulating and thought-provoking. Thank you.
Team Manager for DCH in St. Austell, Cornwall
I work on a one-to-one within schools with children and young people who are vulnerable and or have difficulties. The training is of great use to me to encourage moving on rather than focusing on the past. I would like to say the contentswas excellent and the delivery was also unique and enlightening. Wonderful approach.
Team Member for Frome Family Centre in Somerset
I have used Eileen Murphy Consultants as a change agent for social workers and their
managers to divert young people from the care system. Eileen Murphy developed the
approach when I was Director of Housing and Social Services in Sutton and I
re-engaged her to work on similar issues on the Isle of Wight. In both cases
her approach made a significant difference to the numbers of young people
going into public care.
On the Isle of Wight we have reduced the numbers in public care by 12% in 2 years against a national trend of rising numbers. Much of this reversal I put down to the effectiveness of Eileen’s training and teaching. The Isle of Wight has established itself as a 2 star authority after a failed Joint review in 1999. The SSI have determined we are serving
most children well and have promising prospects for improvement. I would
have no hesitation in recommending Eileen Murphy Consultants for work in this
area.
